About Grizzly

We're Grizzly, a small artisan fragrance company based out of Brooklyn, New York.
What started out as a hobby in a small Brooklyn kitchen in 2013, developed into something unprecedented for us. Like most people, we loved fragrance and obsessively hoarded dozen of candles while always scouring the internet for the most unique scents. Problem was: the bigger and more commercial candle companies only sold the most generic scents, and it was becoming increasing difficult to find a more diverse fragrance on the internet without breaking the bank.
So, one evening, on a whim, we decided to mix some oils together and come up with the scents that we wanted. The ones our friends asked for. The weird, the different, the nostalgic. Scent is very subjective and can easily evoke emotion with memory. That’s what we set out to do.
And that’s how Grizzly was born.
The name derives from many reasons, but the main one being is that grizzly bears themselves are wild and untamed, and that resonates with us.
We’re essentially all about being different. We celebrate individuality, self-expression, and we embrace the weirdness.
And while we’re definitely all about a good time (duh), we’re still very serious about the quality and craftsmanship of all of our products. Everything that we make (especially our candles) are still authentically and individually handmade right here in Brooklyn, New York, (but in a bigger workshop kitchen now!) with all-natural and sustainable ingredients.
